Scores of primary schools gathered together for the Berkshire Maestros annual massed singing events, supported by bands and ensembles from regional music centres. The theme this year was Friendship, with songs drawn from TV, stage and screen and performances from individual schools, all reflecting on the importance of friends and what they mean to us. This event is a wonderful collaboration between schools and students engaged in the Music Hub, to share their passion for making music and giving opportunities to young people.
The Lambs Lane School Choir had all been practicing extremely hard and some of the songs we had to sing were very different with lots of words to get our tongues round… But they were amazing! They did the school so proud!
The children who attended and represented us were;
Benjamin Crabb, Grace Crabb, Tristan Robberts, Ella Bastow, Brooke Freeman, Tilly Ritchie, Emily Davies, Chloe Davies, Hope Skevington, Holly Mason, Amelie Palmer, Lily Bartlett, Keira Griffith and Charlotte Taylor.
A special thanks to Mrs Lainsbury and Mrs Finn who helped me on the day and looked after all the children.
Thank you to the parents for all their support. We hope you enjoyed the concert. I was exceptionally proud.
Miss Swift - There is a copy of the programme in reception if parents and children would like to look at it.
