Admissions

Lambs Lane Primary school are now responsible for our own In-Year Admissions.

For years - current EYFS to year 6 - please complete an application form and email it along with the relevant documentation detailed within the form to: admissions@lambslane.wokingham.sch.uk

Our admissions arrangements document, which includes over-subscription criteria, is attached below.

For specific information and queries regarding your child's admission or application, please contact: admissions@lambslane.wokingham.sch.uk

Admissions into the Resource are co-ordinated by Wokingham Borough Council SEN and are included as part of our allocation.

Lambs Lane is a one form entry school which means our allocation for each year group is limited to 30 pupils.  When there are too many applications received for places available at the school then the Admissions Criteria will be applied as stated in our policy.

Where we are over-subscribed, we will operate a waiting list and information about this can be obtained by calling the school office: 01189883820. Please note, to remain on the wait list you have to reapply each academic year.

Admissions are not processed over the school holiday periods and the inbox will next be checked when the school re-opens. We will respond to all admission enquiries with 15 school days (term time)

The application process

Starting school is an important stage in your child’s life. It's important to remember that if your child attends a nursery or foundation unit which is part of a primary or infant school, there is no automatic transfer or guarantee you will get a place at the school.

Before making an application, we recommend that you read the parent's guide to primary and junior school admissions (PDF) and the co-ordinated admissions scheme (PDF.) This contains all statutory information you need to know before applying for a school place.

If you live in the Wokingham Borough, you should apply to us for a reception school place, even if you want to apply for a school in another local authority area.

Check your local council area on the Gov.uk website if you're not sure which local authority area you should apply to.

Parents/guardians need to register their child with Wokingham Borough Children Services’ Admission Department.  Please contact the Admissions team for a copy of the “A Parent’s Guide to Primary School Admissions” booklet or visit the Wokingham Borough Council’s website www.wokingham.gov.uk. This link will take you to the admissions webpage. Alternatively you can contact them on 0118 9746000.
